Can anyone tell me what's the importance of Karmali ? Why prestigious (important) trains like Tejas and AC Express are terminating there ?
If it's being developed as a satellite station to Madgaon, then isn't it too far away ? Instead Majroda Junction or Verna could've been developed as they're quite close to both Madgaon as well as Vasco.

It should be extended till Madgaon for good non peak season patronage, as currently waitlisted seats are the result of summer rush not to be considered a case of proper patronage.
For non peak season Madgaon extension is a must for profitability

I think one of the reasons for terminating Tejas at Karmali is non availability of platforms at Madgaon . look at the traffic ad madgaon during that time /departures/511
