It happens in NCR. Last time when i travelled by Kalka Mail from Delhi to Kolkata that day also it overtook Chambal somewhere before MGS. But later on our loco WAP 7 failed post departure from MGS at outer & somewhere at night time it overtook our train from there & proceded ahead.
Kalka overtaking is little justified , But HCPV rake overtaking a superfast is surprising and out of the box treatment by a home zone towards its own train
