It will take years. Even the subway work is going in slow pace. So you can't expect it in near future.
May be, if this need to be extended. Then 16347/48 needs to be terminated at Kannur. And then it can run once again with the name of KANNUR express which it used to have...

with RSA, the rake now belongs to SWR. In directly train also belongs to SWR
Cunning SR 😈😈😈😈😈😈. Gave the rake to SWR and escaped maintenance. All maintenance on SWR head. No wonder they say no trains can be introduced citing constraints. Even Island - should be maintained by SR only. Hardly runs 200 Kms in SWR.
Same way got a train to Nagercoil, thanks to SCR.
MV and TN Express gave to MYS division after split and now MYS suffering with no pitlines for Karnataka trains. Those two trains are for Tamil migrants, no use for KA.
