The timings of this trains seems to have been decided based on its run in some critical sections and lack of platforms during arrival at major junctions like VSKP, BZA, Chennai, Shoranur & ERS. In the process lots of slack time is being given and train is extremely slow.
It may not be a bad option for this train to skip stations like Chennai, shoranur and instead be rerouted to a suburb station like Perambur etc . This will definitely save good amount of time and trains can be speeded up
