In that case both the loco links being on either sides would make operation more easier at GTL rite, since GTL calls for a loco reversal.

Ya.. I do not understand why these locos are sent to SBC everyday... Whenever I see this in the evening... there will be one or two Diesel locos behind the Eloco..
