Just wanted to ask that in indiarailinfo atlas it's showing that Tiruchirapalli to Mayiladuthurai line is under single line electrification,can anybody confirm that work have started or not.

Doubling is about be done.Electrification is just in papers.Work yet to start
They won't do Tiruchirapalli to Thanjavur Electrification unless the line is fully doubled and CRS is done because this will affect electrification and hence they are doing Thanjavur-Karaikkal and other lines first.The work is sanctioned to EVM-Quattro JV of Delhi.
But TJ-KIK won't be done first.VM-MV will be done first since E loco can't come for inspection coz the connecting routes are un electrified
But tpj tj doubling works almost over...so immediately after crs they start efication...
Good to know the work of electrification started on kik-thanjavur section and hopefully within 2 yrs work will complete b/w vm-tvr-ngt-kik and ngt-vlkn i think
