Nope that is other matter regarding villagers decision to name Karmali but the IR rule which I told its very old one I am not sure it's still under consideration or not but 10km is distance kept for naming the town or city with Road suffix.
Sorry I was wrong it's not mentioned as 10km but more then that also can be considered to name a station with Road and as you said it due to karmali village ppl pressure. Karmali in goa /Maharashtra?
Karmali is very much in Goa. To the best of my memory, it was because of local pressure that it was named as Karmali. Remember the RS came up because of the land donated by the villagers.
