As detailed here , last month, some changes were made to the PNR section. In the next phase of this rollout, we shall be further separating "Passengers" from "Members".
.
1. "Passengers" will be able to login using ONLY their PNRs (no password). We shall have a Pax Login above the current "Member Login" box.
.
2....
more... "Passengers" (logged in with their PNR) will ONLY be able to post Replies in their PNR Entry and log/reply within their Trip Entry.
.
3. Instead of having one Trip per PNR, we shall have One Trip Entry per Train Journey. All Passengers/PNRs for that day's train journey will share that Trip Entry. We shall also show a "Reservation Chart" of Passengers who are in the Trip. We may have situations where 2 or more passengers inside the same train are separately logging the Train stops.
.
4. We shall have unique Pax# for passengers. For example, if we say 4 Passengers are travelling by Paschim Express on Oct 12, there will be ONE Trip Entry for this train journey shared among all 4 Passengers. The 4 Passengers will be designated Pax# 1, Pax# 2, Pax# 3 and Pax# 4. They can add their own personalized names as well (just like members).
.
5. When a person logins as a Pax, their Home Page will show their upcoming/current Trip, corresponding to that PNR. They can post replies/questions about their future trip or log their current Trip. All PNRs for that particular Train & Date will "share" the same Trip Entry, and will only be able to post replies against that Trip Entry.
.
So, once again "Pax Login" means, you directly login to your Trip (shared with other passengers on that train), and can post replies before, during or after the Trip ends.
.
This development will completely separate PNR/Trips from Members. There will be no link between PNR/Trips and members. Pax login would be separate. Member login is separate.
The above change will be rolled within the next 2 days.
.
Apologies in advance for any inconvenience/bugs that may be encountered.
Thanks.
