runs from Thiruvananthapuram Central to Hazrat Nizamuddin. It is the longest running Rajdhani Express train, which covers about 3,131 km (1,946 mi). It has a record for the highest section speed, reaching 104 km/h (65 mph) between Ratnagiri and Sawantwadi Road (225 km or 140 mi in 2 h 10 min). It also gets a top speed of 130 km/h (81 mph) between Nagda and Hazrat Nizamuddin (267 km). It moves at an average speed of 76.36 km/h (47.45 mph) between Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram. It runs the longest non stop run between Kota Junction - Vadodara Junction section (528 km).
The 12431 Rajdhani Express leaves Thiruvananthapuram Central in the evening at 19:15 and reaches Hazrat Nizamuddin at 12:40 in the afternoon of the third day. While on the return journey, the 12432 Rajdhani Express leaves Hazrat Nizamuddin at 10:55 in the morning and reaches Thiruvananthapuram Central at 4:55 in the morning of the third day of its journey.
Its hauled by a WAP 5 or Indian locomotive class WAP-7 of Vadodara Shed between Hazrat Nizamuddin to Vadodara Junction After which a Golden Rock WDP-4D pulls the train from Vadodara Junction to Thiruvananthapuram Railway Station.
