Greetings from the US! I'm wondering whether anyone feels my waitlist ticket (#18) will be allowed to board the train or not. As I'm new to this system, I have an additional question: is it worth booking the next available train via cleartrip if you have doubt your waitlist ticket will be able to board the train? If your waitlist ticket isn't available to board, is it possible to have the ticket price refunded? Cheers,

With WL ticket you can not board the train. You only can board the train once the ticket is CNF i.e confirmed or RAC i.e. Reservation against Cancellation
If you booked the ticket from Reservation counter then you can board the train
