Re# 28555-119

Mr Kapadia, what you have written "There is no fixed transparent logic/system being followed in Railway Reservation system" is not correct. Every train is configured with a logic of allotment, just that the logic varies from train to train. But you go across any train, the following fact remains the same : "PQ is one single defined quota from end to end".
.
Note
...
that the meaning of GN, PQ, RS, RS, GNWL, RSWL, RLWL, PQWL, RLGN remain the same for all trains in India. Which source-destination berth is alloted from which all quotas (1 or more), and the WL is maintained under which WL quota is configured differently for each train. The meaning is consistent across all trains.
.
You can throw 1000 PNRs, and I can prove to you that the meaning of the quota or WL never changes. Ready for the challenge?
.
So Lets start:
GN = General quota = quota defined from start station of the train to end station of the train (only 1 per train)
PQ = Pooled quota = quota defined from start station of the train to end station of the train (only 1 per train)
RS = Road Side quota = quota defined from start station of the train to intermediate station of the train (1 or more)
RL = Remote Location quota = quota defined from intermediate station of the train to last station of the train (1 or more)
GNWL = waiting list for GN quota
PQWL = waiting list for PQ
RSWL = waiting list for RS quota
RLWL = waiting list for RL quota
RLGN = waiting list combined GN and all RL quotas.
.
So throw as many PNRs as possible. It can be proved that the above meaning applies to all the PNRs, without a single Exception.
.
Also keep in mind that a source-destination ticket may be eligible for more than 1 quotas. Also note that RS, RL and PQ can co-exist in a train. Also note that all trains may not have all the quotas. Its is a system configuration.
.
So lets
