when i book a ticket online how to mark boarding at a different location. please advise.

I think in that case u may travel with that ticket by that train or any train upto the boarding stn
Ok. but still i feel taking a general ticket at UTS will be a better option than using this ticket which is booked from say A to C with boarding point as B, as journey from A to B will not be in reserved coaches in any of the connecting trains. I remember earlier people used to book this way as it used to give the availability benefit at station A. Now its taking availability at boarding point means not much benefit in terms of booking.
