After the grant of an ISO 9001: 2000 certificate to the Kalka Shatabdi (2011/2012), the Indian Railways and Catering and Tourism Cooperation Limited (IRCTC) now plans to obtain the same for Kalka Shatabdi (2005/2006). The other Shatabdis in the line are Amritsar and Delhi (2029/2030 and 2013/2014).

ISO certified trains have good quality food served to their passengers. If a train becomes ISO certified, it receives new rake in place of the old one. These trains are also well maintained.
