As many of our passenger prefer AC class (3A, 2A, 1A, CC) over Sleeper class. or Second sitting (2S)..
I.e. those passenger want to travel in SL /2S... but due to some of their requirement doesn't get fulfilled , hence they moved towards AC .. coaches.

For me, preferences actually depends on train and route. If its dirty train & very much crowdy with day journey, then AC. Like Gitanjali and Howrah-ADI SF. But if route is scenic then always Sleeper or 2S. And some routes are really good for rail fanning, then there also Sleeper or 2S.
For short journeys/journey in less-crowded train/trains having less stops, SL/2S is good (if weather is not too hot)

Till now i never travelled in AC SLEEPER, but yes i travel in AC CHAIR becoz of its comfort and less noisy for short trip...
To me any class is fine. A point to be noted in 3A many UR pax are boarding now a days. In many routes UR gets into 2A as well and block the Water Closet(Toilet) Vestibule area. I travel in ACs mostly 1A/2A/3A/CC. and for shorter routes I travel by 2S/SL/GEN.I like to experiment as well. I choose various route for a particular class of travel. Like in SC BZA ICE I booked in 2S just to travel by LHB 2S .I have travelled by all the classes available except EC.
