To curb the proliferation of duplicate IDs in IRI, we shall soon be requiring SMS-based authentication to post blogs.

Members will be required to provide a mobile phone number to authenticate their accounts. An OTP will be sent to the number. Upon entering the OTP, the account will be associated with that phone number. Thereafter, the phone number cannot be used with any other account.

We also have faith in moderator sir, but the issue was that if a website is taking any information from it's client, it must provide privacy policy for that info as well. It is a general practice in IT industry everywhere and now IRI also have it. No one is suspecting his intensions. On the other side of this, most of the members welcomed this initiative.
You are right in suspecting and requiring a Privacy Policy. You are NOT supposed to have implicit faith on ANY website, including IRI. Bills and expenses are a fact of life, and all websites need to make ends meet. Exploiting user private info is one way to generate revenue. Other ways of doing so is to cross-subsidize operations - for example, Google uses Search revenue to cross-subsidize all of its other businesses. Social media sites like FB have more than 25000 very highly salaried employees, and they cannot meet their expenses and be profitable, if they don't exploit user private info.

I will not say FMs are biased, they do their job but I've not yet seen a single FM who is Tamil.
