They should do this ASAP. Any passenger who does not know about this will board this train thinking that it will go to Howrah but in the end if it terminates at SRC, he/she will be in serious trouble.
Yesterday 12221 PUNE HWH Duronto was late. It arrived Howrah at 21:35 hours with WAP 4 SRC in the lead. As the time was after 21:00 it was alloted PF 12 just because of all the reason I mentioned why BBN JS gets old complex PF everyday.
Hmm. Around that time the new complex is overwhelmed with departing trains.
ER is the boss at Howrah and SER is always at their mercy it appears......with the number of trains increasing in SER route in recent times, stations like SRC and Shalimar hardly have been able to manage the load. Connectivity issues also make it an unfriendly option for customers.

SHM could actually serve as a viable terminus station but connectivity is a big issue. However, I have recently been to SHM and I have seen construction work underway for development of more platforms so I think there could a solution to this problem soon.
