YESTERDAY I BOOKED THE TICKET FOR TRAVELLING FROM KUMBAKONAM TO CHENNAI EGMORE ON 14TH MAY 2010. I WAS RATHER SURPRISED INDIAN
RAILWAYS ARE CHARGING SLEEPER CHARGES FOR RESERVATION FOR THIS

Yes, even though it is day time travel only 70 passengers will get official
berth ticket for sleeper, in that nearly 35% can use the berth to sleep with out
any obligation of the co-passengers and with adjustment all can use for their
comfort,...
