Just check the availability calender for following trains with source as NED and destination as NDLS, ASR, SGNR and SRC/HWH

Yea, and while NK does get tit bits of better connectivity due to nearness with Mumbai, AWB gets completely sidelined as all trains are given to NED
Exactly a few years ago nanded along with Aurangabad had just one major long distance train that was Sachkhand exp ...but today nanded has got so many, even a Humsfar ( which recieved poor patronage) whereas Aurangabad has to be content with Sachkhand only to North India.
Within past few years NED has seen much development but nothing was reaped by AWB, which was certainly more deserving
There are few other cities as well in india. I had done a poll in this regard .....plz do check
