Calculate Speed of Train:
U can calculate the speed of ur train. All u'll need is a mobile phone & a window seat. From the window watch out for the numbered white stones alongside d track. The distance btwn 2 stones is 100 m. Just measure time taken by the train from 1 stone to other using stopwatch. Now divide 360 by the time u got on stopwatch, u'll get speed in km/hr.
E.g. If u get 4 sec, then divide 360 by 4.
360/4=90...

Yes. I had been using this method since many years. Good to see it here. To be more precised, we can calculate for 500m or 1000m. Because, there will be some errors while we start and stop the timer. So if you take it for >500m, it will have more precision. But sometimes, driver may slow down within that time when you calculate it for >500m
