Let the metro work be done first. As of now no new PFs are being built.

Kalyan would also be among the busiest. But IR generally accounts for suburban traffic as a separate entity. This is mainly because, though there are some locals that run on the main line tracks and some stretches where all locals share mainline tracks, by and large, suburban trains tend to run on their own dedicated corridors with their own schedules, having a small overlap with the mainline trains. Because of this, controlling for both types of traffic tends to be largely independent.
Also most of the freight traffic goes through the yard and dedicated freight lines, unlike BZA and BRC which have the freights too passing through the main station only (Some freights do bypass BZA, but freights coming from the

Hmmm... I too agree on this but a terminal cannot always be expected to handle any freight load. Plus are we probably are not including the suburban traffic of HWH, SDAH and CSMT. No doubt BZA, CNB, BRC are some of the most important junctions of the country, but comparing it to a terminal railway station would not be fair to the terminals. I am talking while keeping in mind the trains terminating at and originating from the terminals, plus the suburban traffic plus more importantly the shunting duties that have to be taken care of at these stations and the regular engine reversals or changing happening at these stations. Hence I was saying these stations to be more important than the above. This is completely my opinion though, and it can differ from person to person.

no need .. already #RYP is being developed as satellite station and few trains are already diverted in this route. More trains will be diverted in future. It is better to develop GALA & RYP rather than BZA
