At present IR is performing Push-Pull operations/trials with WAP7. Do you think WAP5 is a better candidate than WAP7 for Push-Pull since it has very close power rating, but is much lighter and has better top/operating speed?

Spotted king raj 12952 with brc p5 push pull on 24Oct. So WR experimenting with p5 push pull combo
I can totally understand the thought of members who have given their opinion in favour of P5 push pull.
But let us first understand why CR wanted to introduce push pull; to remove the technical halts at Kasara & Igatpuri for banker attachment/detachment.
Please keep in mind that push-pull arrangement was experimented just to see if the train can climb the Thul ghats. P7 definitely has an advantage here due to it's higher tractive effort at lower speeds. I doubt if P5 push pull can even climb the Thul ghats with a 20...
