Presenting some pictures of one of the most important junctions of the Kolkata Suburban Railways, Bandel Junction! Bandel Junction is the amongst the oldest railway stations in Indian Railways built during the construction of the Howrah-Pundoah section of the Howrah-Bardhaman main line. This was the second operational railway line in mordern India. Ofcourse BDC wasn't a junction then, but now it is a very important four point junction with it being the convergence of the HWH-BWN Main line, the HWH-KWAE line and the NH-BDC line being an important linkup points between the Howrah and Sealdah controlled sub-urban railways.

Pictures 2-4 :- CNB WAG-7 28476 brings the 53140 JSME-KOAA Fast Passenger to a halt at platform number 3. It was announced at BDC as being CRJ-KOAA Fast passenger reminiscent of it earlier days.

Pictures 16-20 :- HWH WDM-3D 11442 leads 13465 HWH-MLDT intercity via KWAE-AZ loop to a halt at platform numbered 2 at BDC.
Pictures 21-25 :- Brand new DLW made HOG capable HWH WAP-7 37081 hauls the LHBfied 13011 HWH-MLDT intercity via BWN into platform number 1 of BDC . Pictures 24-25 shows the RSA effect 13011 has with 12337-12339-12341-53047.
Pictures 26-27 :- Heritage 30 tonne steam propelled crane resting at it's final workplace at BDC. Built in 1923 at Carlisle for the Oudh & Rohilkhand Railways, this crane was retired in 1991 at BDC.
