Two independent questions and two independent answers.
1. If loco is HOG enable and HOG mode in ON, then no need to start generator.
For example Jaipur-Jodhpur high court express run on HOG ON mode on full diesel route.

Thanks for sharing the knowledge, however I got few more doubts now!!
1. So Diesel Engines are also HOG enabled!! ??
2. Obviously EOG will be removed with SRL type LHB that have been built with Guard, Luggage and General space.

1. Yes. Diesel locos are also HOG enabled.
Well known example is TKD/WDP-4B/40079 PRATEEK.
Other locos are 40078,40080,81,82,83,84,85 40001,40003 and some more.
2. In SLR type EOG, generator part is moved below the sitting area.

Ok So Generator is not completely eliminated, it exists in case of HOG also?
