I am planning a trip Manali / Shimla / Chandigarh. For return from Chandigarh to Mumbai I see a train 2926A (Kalka-Mumbai) but this does not have 2AC Sleeper. I however see another train 2926 (Amritsar - Mumbai) which has same route & schedule between Delhi to Mumbai as that of 2926A and has 2AC Sleeper coach.
Does 2926A get connected to 2926 at Delhi.
Can I travel in 2926A from Chandigarh in 3AC and hope to transfer to 2AC coach?

The train u mentioned is Pashchim Express, having slip service from Chandigarh!!
The slip service gets merged with Pashchim Exp (from ASR)
If u can arrange, u can shift from 3A to 2A!!

The 2926A get attached to 2926 at Ambala Cantt(UMB). The total journey time between Chandigarh & Ambala is approximate 1.5 Hrs. If you want to travel in 2A then book from UMB.
Ambala is very well connected to Chandigarh by road. Bus service & Taxi service is easily avoidable from Chandigarh Sector 22 ISBT.
