I want to reserve ffrom NDLS/delhi to mathura by a train starting after 7.30 am and return by a trainarriving in the afternoon/evening before 8pm.in ac class.I find most of the trains(except shatabdi/taj which start very early and return to delhi late in night) have only 3AC and 2AC. Can we travel sitting for short distances by taking tkts for ac sitting in any of these trains?Is it allowed officially? I want to visit the main krishna temple there and return which may not take more than 2 to 3 hours.

Offcourse you can reserve ticket from New delhi to Mathura Jn. as per your requirement... Train No is 2280 and 2281, Taj Express... You can travel in Ac Chair Car... Availablity of seats depends on your date of travel...
