Today, 20-Jun-2010, while chart preparation priority was given to bangalore passangers. i.e. a passanger on waitlist #7 travelling to Hyderabad or passanger on waitlist#5 travelling to Nagpur was not confirmed but a passanger on waitlist#12 travelling to B'lore was confirmed.
My question is is this accoring to policy or not. If not where should this concern be raised.
Thanks,
Anubhav

You are saying..pqwl is pooled quota waiting list.........issued from intermediate station to intermediate station....then how come this PNR: 824-4175293 came into PQWL? It is from Originating station to interm: station....according to you this PNR should be RSWL but is under PQWL
One more PNR 846-3495118 for PQWL from originating to intermediate station
in theory that is what should happen. but IR puts a very small disclaimer saying "gnwl , pqwl , rswl are internal codes usde for operational reason" this gives them great freedom in doing as they please. my source for post 52769-5 is irfca.org
This is also taken from IRFCA.....The Pooled Quota is intended to be utilized by passengers travelling from the originating station to a station short of the terminating station, or from an intermediate station to the terminating station, or between two intermediate stations........Anyhow IRFCA is also not an offical site.
From the discussion it looks that it is a policy to confirm GNWL is given a preference over other wait lists. But same has not been communicated to commuters with its due importance.
Who is a competent authority where this concern can be raised?
