'Pappu' shunter at Budgam station. WDS4 probably would be the first conventional loco to operate in the Kashmir valley.Pappu is also used along with 'snow removing' vehicle to remove thick layers of snow on the track before the DEMU is allowed to pass.(IRFCA)

I think that "Pappu" is the Unofficial Name of this WDS-4 Loco just like WCG - (2 or 6?) was nick named as "Kekda"(Meaning Crab) by Loco Shed Staff .... ;-)
