Can’t understand the railways maths here ! No of passengers traveled in NGP , SNSI VB are way more than SUR VB ! Still SUR VB is the winner !!! Can anyone explain ?
In Solapur VB there are CSTM Pune and Solapur travellers. For some seats vacated in Pune are again filled in Pune Solapur and vice versa in Pune Mumbai section so occupancy has crossed 100% as per railway occupancy calculation. In reality Solapur Pune Solapur section has 30-50% vacant seats.
In CSTM Shirdi route they will not be any boarding at Nashik to Shirdi or Return Shirdi to Nashik which gives 200-300 travellers per day in both directions, So occupancy is less. Same is the case for BSP Nagpur VB.

Precisely said. Due to berth multiplexing, the figures show the stats. There are hardly takers for Mumbai to Solapur end to end. 8 Car VB will work better here.
If it is getting 100% occupancy between Pune and Mumbai .. then railway won’t decrease the coaches to 8
I think Amb Andaura VB also runs full between Delhi and Chandigarh and vice Versa … Yes there will be few takers from Ambala / Chandigarh towards Punjab and Himachal where this train is destined to because of good road connectivity and distance favouring car travel !!!but still railways occupancy charts barely show it around 90% !!!
