this is regarding the accident in wb this morning.
i really wonder as to how it could have happened.
uttar banga express, which rammed into the stationary vananchal express, also had a scheduled stop at the station. how come it came into the station at such high speed?
is there any foul play?

The Vananchal Express was standing at platform 4 when the speeding Uttarbanga Express, coming from New Coochbehar, hit it from the rear. Three rear coaches of the Vananchal Express bore the brunt of the collision and were badly mangled. Such was the impact of the collision that one of the coaches went up to the overbridge.
CNN-IBN in their breaking news currently is raising the following question.
Was there a tampering with the signals?
So foul play cannot be rules out.
Again the case arises for use of ACD. Whatever the cost of installation and maintenance be, will be lesser than the humanity and monetary cost of human lives.
