I think railways must ensure following to ensure timely run of this train..
1. It must be given an Wap5/7 upto patna for better acceleration as it has got man stops enroute..
2. From patna a WDP4 will do the job..
3. An extra rake should be provided.

The commonly used loco which is WAP4 can pull a train with 26 coaches easily at great speed.. but there are other limitations too, that it gets a diesel loco from patna upto IPR.. And most of the popular superfast trains run with 24 coaches and in peak seasons one or two coaches are attached...
I totally agree with you.. Once this train used to the king and preffered over other trains, but since its extension and introduction of many other SF trains.. It lost its sheen in the course of time...
Firozabad should nt deleted, they can delet TDL,SKB or both but nt FZD...........
This train has been temporarily allotted 3rd rake for 12402 everyday, this will improve it's performance for sure.
People near to the major stations / junctions won't realize what' the importance of a train stoppage. It was extended upto IPR to provide connectivity in a better way, it should and would not be cancelled.
