two routes are there but 2nd route has never faced premium trains except in scenario of traffic block
Shatabdi express with 10ACC or 780 seats is already running. Tourists to Sikkim or Darjeeling won't prefer morning dep from NJP as they have to travel by road for 4 hours which is not possible during night and take the present Vande Bharat in afternoon. The Shatabdi express has current availability on many days for this 780 seats capacity in both directions. I'f a new VB is introduced from NJP morning dep then the travellers of Shatabdi will migrate and Shatabdi will be empty. There is no point of running 2 trains in direction one after another.
It will benefit MLDT public who can go to kolkata for work in morning. For NJP side it will be taken by work related or common public not tourists from kolkata . Tourists have other options
you are from bengalore then you tell why 2 reverse VBs are running despite of shatabdi . Is shatabdi empty in your side?
There is no need of comparing NJP one with Bengaluru one Bengaluru Chennai along with Mumbai Ahmedabad is an economic corridor many premium trains can be runned on these routes and are running still you will find waiting till one week with so many premium services.
