This train has been rescheduled again today on date 03/05/2024 by 1 hr 40 mins, while Ispat Express is running right time. Passengers must stop travelling by this train. I myself have stopped travelling by this train since the last few months. Tata - Gua passenger is better to travel from Tata upto Bara Jamda. Takes 1 third to 1 fifth fare as compared to this Jan Shatabdi Express and generally remains only 30 mins to 1 Hr late, while this Jan Shatabdi Express is almost always 2 to 4 hours late. This might be the most late travelling Jan Shatabdi Express in India now. This train has become a disgrace in the name of Jan Shatabdi Express now.

This train has no Rake Sharing Arrangement with any other train. It's rake is dedicated only for this train.

What more can I say Piyush, SER & SECR as respective zones are least concerned with the plight and state of the passengers!
There is only so much inconvenience that the general public can and will endure. Beyond that their will be serious repercussions.
The present regime has become absolutely arrogant and put a no good Yes-man incharge of the MOR. A regime change is needed so that a fresh perspective is laid out to the general public

would advise you to tell your father, to take a train to ASN/DGR rather and take a bus to TATA.

Useful
More or less, SECR has minimized its activities. If after NGP, a train becomes 1 hr late, max to max it gets 2 hrs late at JSG outers. I have myself experienced this 2 times. After JSG till Rourkela it is worse than pathetic conditions.

My father already uses two another alternatives many a times but it takes more time.

the train directly from Maurigram (where he resides, while in Howrah), 38809 HWH MDN Local and from there 08071 KGP TATA Passenger

2. Black Diamond from Howrah to Dhanbad and then from Dhanbad to Jamshedpur, a bus which stops directly in front of my house.

Rolling Blocks hammered the final nail to the already congested sections. Crews are having very hard time differentiating between TSRs and PSRs, now that they are active every 10-15 kms.
I ain't against these blocks. Infact, they have been the best proven method till date to swiftly ensure track maintenance and upgradation. Inter departmental coordinations are all time high. What should have been included is the reduction or ignorance of any loading target for zones during the period. That way profitable zones won't be forced to balance their sheets and therefore could've ensured passenger train punctuality. SER aka 'Passenger Unfriendly Zone' wasn't a slacky or sloppy type ever in past. It always operated passenger trains with aggression.

you never know your deboarding time even when your journey length is short 50 odd kilometres. Ours' over the time research based on deep knowledge of our commuting trains, their pattern of PM/SM, sectional controlling etc. are being pushed beyond limits.
