It would be better to depart Ajanta from MMR at 1600 and arrival at KCG at 0400 or so, it can even be terminated at HYB . Provided it gets LHB, it's better to have RSA with Dakshin SF so that while incoming Dakshin gets PM, Inbound Ajanta can just be cleaned up and SC ADB needs a day time connection rather than night time with Krishna Express. This can also be done by extending RAL SC Express to ADB. Krishna exp can be short terminated at NZB which will reduce the number of rakes used and it can depart at 05:45 or 06:00 to take up Ajanta slot between NZB and SC, would be much better for NZB pax travelling to SC as well. I don't think MMR is in any mood to do PM for this train so why not reduce the TAT at MMR, currently it is 14...

PM is not a problem for Ajanta with current schedule and independent rake. But as you said, the inbound Ajanta can arrive early which helps employees and students. And for ADB, they are already asking for more trains towards SC. I doubt they will agree to short terminate Krishna express. Also when I've travelled in it once, it is fully occupied. After doubling, SCR can introduce an intercity in the morning or extend RAL SC so that it can have both Day and Night connection.
Pilgrims associations have requested to have late dep or evening dep from Manmmad so that they return on the same day after Darshan. The train needs to be speedup with arrival at 700-800 by preponing by an hour and not to 1600. which is too early. Passe her associations pilgrim groups have opposed to change the timing to morning 1000 which Manmmad requested and put in IRCTC TTM. They need to maintain independent rakes for overnight trains for distances 300--800km and these trains will bring good revenue perkm then long distance travelling 1000-1200km per day due to higher base fare.
Krishna is the only train between these stations currently. More connections are definitely needed. Some extensions and new trains can definitely help.
I think they should change timings of NSL to NS in this section or even extend it to Mumbai if possible, giving it a late departure at MMR. It can arrive at 9 or 10 at SC and night time at NS. They can then use a HYB terminating train to run as RSA partner with NS LPI Express, possibly Devagiri would be a good partner, ridding Gautami with RSA. This pattern will have daily PM at NS in the day while NS NSL can be done in the night.
