WR received their First Vande Metro, in fact First Vande Metro of ICF yesterday!
This VM has 12 cars just like a MEMU train with advanced interiors for passenger comfort. In concept, it is going to connect important cities within the range of 200-250 kms.
Any guess about this Vande Metro route?

This order is for local AC EMUs and Vande Metro is different in paper.
Can u pls elaborate this stmt??
"has no relation with the train's objective to connect intercities" Just wanted to clarify the doubt....👍👍

In short and in general Vande metro should act as a intra city EMU for the Vande Metro title but it is going to act as a intercity MEMU, thus i said that.
Name is different from its intended purpose, that's it.
Metro term should be reserved for any new developments in EMU segment.

It is new Under-Slung EMU technology is used in Train 18 and also used in MEDHA EMU. So let's wait. I'm attaching the technical specifications of Medha EMU & Train 18 described by its founder Sudhanshu Mani.
I also said the same by quoting "Vande Metro is different in paper". Paper means in order copies, ICF, RCF Website terms for VM, EMUs.
The image u mentioned contains allotment of AC local EMUs. You have misunderstood what I've said.
Underlying component/concept of both VB & VM is an MEMU/EMU, I'm not denying it.
