why station code for itarsi is ET when there is no E in name itself?

I don't know about other thing. But SBC is what I said is correct only. Ask the person who gave Code for the Station's not to me.
Absolutely correct. In British Raj Kanpur was called as Cwanpore. If you visit Kokwali you can still see this old name. 1857 Kranti was started from here.
Vasai Raod is called BSR, since in earlier times it was named as Bassein Road , thus BSR :)
