Hi,
One query I have with respect to wait list e tickets. If after charting is done and assume I do not get a confirmed seat then is my e-ticket still valid.
With wait list i-ticket passenger can board the train and depending on the luck & TT he/she might get a berth. But with wait list e-ticket I have heard that passenger cannot even board the train.

WL e-tickets after chart preparation gets automatically cancelled and refund initiated. If u really want to travel you have to get a unreserved ticket with express/superfast charges and then u can try your luck with the TTE
RAJESH JI - yadi aapka e tikit watting hai aur after chart prepared cah wl hi rahtaa hai confirm nahee hotaa to automattic canceel ho jaata hai aur aapke bank a/c me refund print fare - 20 rs ( each yatri )=refund rs aa jaata hai --
If u have e-ticket and remain waitlist after chart prepared. ticket will auto cancel and refund amount credit in ur account in 2-3 days.
A minor correction. Only fully waitlisted e-tickets are auto cancelled. Partially WL tickets are not automatically cancelled and names of all passengers appear in charts.
And they will have to adjust themselves with other passengers on that PNR, with the consent of the TTE.
