@Dial100: yes thats what IRCTC website says when u check for hotel availability near New delhi
There are scores of hotels there. Just use Paharganj side exit at NDLS (PF#1 side) and the area is filled with hundreds of hotels in the range of 5000-5000
I am unaware of your budget, so unable to suggest any hotel. Though I'ld like to advise Hotel Tourist Deluxe, 7361, Ram Nagar, Qutub Road, Near New Delhi Railway Station, Pahar Ganj, New Delhi, Delhi, 110055
011 2367 0986 It is just 200 yards from NDLS. Rates are around 2500/- and they allow early check in also. Buffet breakfast is complimentary.

Rail Yatri Niwas has been taken over by TATA Group long ago and renamed Hotel Ginger after renovating it.
