Why only E-ticket holders are required to show their identity card?

The main reason is that PRS and I-tickets are on a special secured stationery and no copy can be available while in E-ticket one can say that 100s may be original or none is original and hence, an (additional) original proof is required.
All other logics which are discussed here are also true and add weight to this requirement.
