when will all the trains from south to chennai diverted via karur namakkal salem route

the old route is congested and travel time is more. so what is the purpose of going on a roundabout long way once the karur salem is cleared. will it not save time and fuel for IR.
Common man... IR is just not abt saving time or anything...

then what is the purpose/benefit of laying a new line with huge investment.
Konkan Route makes a lot of difference in the distance of Netravati express and Mumbai Cape Express.
So does it mean that Cape Express should run via Konkan?
And also in Kerala ALLP route is more shorter than KTYM. so u mean to say alll trains need to run via ALLP?
