Why do you want extension when the train is doing well ? It will be problem for the slot in chennai with the same timings, also the slot in the morning doesn't suit much. TPTY will be better than chennai if at all extension is made.
24 coach means Devagiri will get 24 coach and then a better or dual locos for a less demanded train.

Making it 24 coacher is difficult since space constraints at CSTM,since this one has RSA with Devagiri...
When extension happens quota will be lost,no point about the halts..This train is primarily to cater demand of GDR/NLR public to SC who had to be earlier depend on passing trains from TPTY/MAS to SC/HYB...
how can you claim that devagiri express is less demanded train. and for your kind information devagiri is already running with twin locos. already twin locos are assigned for 21 coach train. refer to the reservation charts and you will see the patronage.
