Good that you got breakfast at madgaon. There have been times when the bfast has been really bad/not unavailable and one eagerly waits for arrival at mangalore for the lunch. Not having pantry also means no snacks, tea or water bottle supply. Its probably one of the fewest trains passing through konkan railway that does not have pantry car service

Idli- vada at Madgaon is probably the worst that one can possibly have. The samosas and Vada pavs are quite good though.

Sir, its just that when you're hungry and there's no pantry on-board, anything served hot feels good to eat. Idli vada being good or not is subjective. all I wanted to say was you can expect to get some grub at Madgaon to keep you going till Mangalore!
Hope IR adds a pantry to this train soon.
