Taste is average but clean.

Your expression 'taste is normal but clean' is reminding of similar experience I have with this 'comsum' at Nagpur, and Ahmedabad...
And the dish was 'masala dosa' ...
Taste seemed 'equal' at both places, and I felt the thrill of it was gone...
Though clean, it lacked the familiar taste we are used to with normal hotels preparations.
