Hindupur in the Anantapuram district of AP is the closest railhead to Lepakshi in the Anantapuram District of AP, which is a very famous historical pilgrimage and also to Kodikonda-veerapuram Painted Stark Siberian Migratory Birds Sanctuary.. Lepakshi is 16 kms from Hindupr and is accessible by frequent APSRTC buses towards Lepakshi and onward to Kodikonda-Veerapuram for another 20 kms.
