No need to pay difference in fare.. This is known as Auto Upgradation, U may have selected the option consider for auto upgrdation while booking the tickets..
Mostly they may be more vacant seats in 3A so they have upgraded Lucky Sl Passengers to 3A
Default option for each booking is auto upgrade enabled.
