Not necessary. U can board them normally by just buying a unreserved ticket. But keep ur id proof with u always in case of emergency.

DEMU is a normal passenger train without loco(though in this case you'll most probably find a SGUJ WDP-4 attached to front end)....so you'll be charged normal passenger class fare

go to the UR ticket counter @ right hand side when u enter from the main entrance... and ask for a ticket thats all you needed....
and a precaution from my side.. there are toilets in this train but they are unusable.... so be prepared for that inconvieniency
