You can order food to your train through TravelKhana.com.... You have many non veg varieties... If you want to explore the Spicy Hot Rayalaseema Non-Veg food.... This is the only place as of now in the railway map apart from Renigunta...Prefer Anantapur over Renigunta to taste the authentic Rayalaseema non-veg. Andhra Chicken & Mutton Curry with Plain Rice is the best of the lot... Everything else would be secondary...
Note: Minimum Order is 400... which means this would work only for 3 or more passenger groups.
For Veggies,

Combo meal is the best from the Menu

Prefer Anantapur over Renigunta...bit confusing as none of the trains touches both the stations in its run...Both are in different routes...

I think he meant Rayalaseema in general. I once had good food at Cuddapah (inside town not station).

Jay got it right.. That's exactly what I meant... Didn't mean that someone should not have lunch in RU but have it ATP... Both practically & theoretically its not possible. Practically there is no train that connects both the stations. Theoretically, even if there is a train, one can have food in both stations choosing between lunch & dinner since both are 6-7 hrs apart.
I only meant for tasting authentic Rayalaseema food. If Kurnool & Kadapa come into travelkhana map,, I would suggest both of them too... GTL, RU are not good in terms of authenticity.

one has a chance to taste food at RAZAMPETA - RJP... that's the best place to have lunch among any other places in Rayalaseema zone, over & above ATP, KRNT & HX... RJP is very famous in Rayalaseema for tasty, spicy Lunch (full meal). If I were to drive from HYD to TPTY, I usually don't bypass RJP. I drive in, have lunch and proceed.
As of now you cannot buy a full meal at station. But you can have Idly at RJP for breakfast... Best idlies in the GTL-RU section...I would say the best Idlies you can get in any railway station in AP (Platform local vending only, Doesn't mean comeusiums or any other restaurant food that's sold on the PFs like BZA).
