"with ref. to partial guage conversion of Marwar Jn-Mavli Jn of NWR, pls let us know as to when the remaining 137 km from Marwar jn to Nathdwara would get converted. Post guage conversion of jodhpur-marwar jn in 1997-98 millions of people of Western Rajasthan have lost a direct rail link not only to Udaipur, Chittor but onwards to Malwa-Mahakaushal regions of MP, Vidarbha-Marathwada regions of Maharashtra as well as Andhra Pradesh. People who have moved Maharashtra/MP/AP decades ago are facing hardships to travel to their ancestral land for various socio-cultural-econonomic activities. Pls refer the attached RTI filed by a fellow Railway Passenger Mr. Bagh Singh Chowdhary for further information and provide a timeline to convert...

Apparently the Member of Parliament from Rajsamand, Mr. Gopal singh Shekhawat has also raised the Marwar jn- Mavli jn guage conversion issue in Parliament several times in past 3 years-
