if a train has lower quota berth available ..is there a way to get lower berth quota ticket while booking online for Senior citizen ..or it depends on the software whether it gets allocated or not ..

my case is a ticket booked for 2 pax me and my mom ..so my mom is not traveling alone ..i got allotted middle while my mother got allotted SU ...and still 9 seats vacant in lower berth quota ...
bt u can book 2 separate ticket , one for u in general quota nd one for ur mom in LB quota
agree sir ..there are ways and means of handling it ..but then the surety of getting same coach goes for a toss...the only option i see to head to a PRS counter...online ticketing doesnt give the luxury of the facility needed ..but the question lingers in my mind why not SS get lower berth irrespective of alone or not ???
In that case LB Quota shall be exhausted in minutes like General Quota, so alone travelling senior citizens are at loss they wont get confirmed ticket when all berths in GNWL are exhausted..
