Southern Railway does not care for the TAMILIANS FESTIVAL 2014 PONGAL .No single specials operated for 2014 Pongal to the Coastal and Southern districts of the Tamilnadu.
SR always take care of the North East Region and the Northern region via Andhra State. SR operate so many trains from Chennai without any single stop in Tamilnadu Territory in the Chennai district and Thiruvallur District of the Tamilnadu state.
So we, Coastal and Southern Tamilnadu people demand a separate SOUTH COAST RAILWAY ZONE ( SCoR) with headquarters in TRICHY with the existing Trichy Division,Madurai...

Then SCoR can able to take care of the entire Coastal Districts of Tamilnadu ; such as Cuddalore,Pondicherry,Nagapattinam,Thiruvarur,Thanjavur,Sivagangai,Ramanathapuram,Thoothukkudi,Tirunelveli and Kanniyakumari and all other southern districts.
SCoR can operate daily trains to the Northern ,North Easten and North Western parts of INDIA from these area Cities , towns and Tourist places..
Till date SR does not operate any single Daily train from these Coastal and Southern districts of Tamilnadu and Pondy UT to the North,North eastern and North Western parts of our INDIA.So for the benefit of these Coastal and Southern districts of Tamilnadu state and Pondy UT new SCoR Zonal with headquarters in TRICHY CITY have to be formed.
New SCoR is a sustainable one with Thoothukkudi Major port , and several minor ports such as Kulachal,Kanniyakumari,Vembar/Sayalgudi,Rameswaram,Mandapam Thondy,Vedaranyam,Nagapattinam,Karaikkal,Tharangambadi,Porto nova,Pondicherry and Cuddalore.
All the MPs ,MLAs and Railway users associations of these Districts should demand for the creation of this vital new Trichy City based SCoR Zone and new Tirunelveli Division.Tirunelveli Division should be formed with all the Railway routes in Kanniyakumari,Tirunelveli and Thoothukkudi Districts.
