Today I booked a ticket in Tatkal after a long time. First time in the light version as noted by IRCTC. But still the traffic was heavy. I am using a 5Mbps line, still it took 20 min to log in and another 8-10 min to get the ticket booked. Even though IRCTC claims a faster light version, I guess the traffic is increasing day by day.
I suggest, this may have been discussed in the past, that the tatkal booking time should be separated zone wise, say 4 zones (North,East, West South), each starting after one hour. This may ease the load on the site during the tatkaal booking.
